Early Life
Son of April and Phil Margera, Margera was born on September 28, 1979. He is the nephew of Vincent “Don Vito” Margera and the younger brother of Jess Margera. His grandfather gave him the moniker “Bam Bam” when he was three years old after observing his propensity for running into walls on purpose; over time, his classmates abbreviated it to “Bam”. Margera dropped out of high school after his sophomore year, but his mother homeschooled him and he earned his GED.
