Early Life
On July 18, 1965, Raymond Leon Scott gave birth to Benzino in Boston, Massachusetts. Mary Scott and Edward DeJesus are his parents; Mary worked for the US Postal Service until her retirement in 1999. Anita and Maureen (a doctor) are Benzino’s sisters ( a vegan).

Career
Career Benzino began his professional music career as a member of the rap group Almighty RSO. He was first known as Raydog. In addition to the group’s 1996 release of “Doomsday: Forever RSO,” Benzino and Wiseguys also put out “In Tha Company of Killaz” that year. Before making his solo debut with the album “The Benzino Project” in 2001, he co-founded the rap trio Made Men and released the album “Classic Limited Edition” in 1999. He has released “The Benzino Remix Project” and four studio albums as a solo artist (2002).

Personal Life
Benzino and his ex-girlfriend Althea Heart have a son together named Zino, who was born in November 2015. Benzino dated his “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” co-star Karlie Redd. Benzino and Heart were on the reality series “Marriage Boot Camp” in 2015 and 2016.
Althea joined the cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” after she and Benzino started dating, and there, he proposed to her life. After the two got into an altercation with two other cast members at a reunion special and Benzino allegedly threatened one of the producers later, they were fired from the show.
After Heart and Benzino split up, Althea asked for a restraining order against Benzino, saying that Benzino had “threatened her, prevented her from calling for help, held her against her will, stalked her, and was violent before her children.”
Althea was given a 10-day jail sentence and told to avoid speaking to Benzino after she confronted him outside the court. Additionally, Benzino was required to keep 500 feet away from Heart.
Early in 2018, Benzino’s paternity lawsuit against Althea was dismissed since he did not show up in court. Additionally, Benzino has a daughter named Coi Leray and a son named Chavo who are also employed in the music industry.
