Benzino rose to fame in 2002 as a result of his conflict with fellow rapper Eminem, whom he has dubbed “2003 Vanilla Ice.” The argument started after “The Source” gave the album “The Eminem Show” a four-star rating even though Eminem believed it deserved a five-star rating.
He blamed the co-founder of the magazine Benzino and insisted that “The Source” would never give him a 5-mic rating due to his race. Later, after Eminem turned down Benzino’s request for an interview on his film “8 Mile,” the two began issuing tracks that were disparaging of one another (Benzino: “Pull Your Skirt Up” and “Die Another Day,” Eminem: “The Sauce” and “Nail in the Coffin”).
Seven years after the dispute ended in 2005, according to Benzino, “I can say it now, I was wrong for it. Because at the end of the day, Em is a great lyricist and he should be able to express himself in hip-hop as anybody should.”
Benzino and his ex-girlfriend Althea Heart have a son together named Zino, who was born in November 2015. Benzino dated his “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” co-star Karlie Redd. Benzino and Heart were on the reality series “Marriage Boot Camp” in 2015 and 2016.
Althea joined the cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” after she and Benzino started dating, and there, he proposed to her life. After the two got into an altercation with two other cast members at a reunion special and Benzino allegedly threatened one of the producers later, they were fired from the show.
After Heart and Benzino split up, Althea asked for a restraining order against Benzino, saying that Benzino had “threatened her, prevented her from calling for help, held her against her will, stalked her, and was violent before her children.”
Althea was given a 10-day jail sentence and told to avoid speaking to Benzino after she confronted him outside the court. Additionally, Benzino was required to keep 500 feet away from Heart.
Early in 2018, Benzino’s paternity lawsuit against Althea was dismissed since he did not show up in court. Additionally, Benzino has a daughter named Coi Leray and a son named Chavo who are also employed in the music industry.
In March 2014, Benzino’s nephew Gai Scott shot him in the back and shoulder. A shooting took place at Benzino’s mother’s funeral in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Gai said that he shot his cousin to protect his family “I was in fear for my wife and a baby. He’s been threatening my life.”
In January 2017, Benzino was charged with felony possession after Atlanta police found THC oil candy and MDMA pills in his apartment. He made a guilty plea and was sentenced to two years of probation and a $500 fine.
In April 2019, Benzino was stopped by a police officer in Georgia for disregarding a stop sign. The officer had the car towed after discovering that the owner had not updated his auto insurance and gave Benzino a penalty for driving an uninsured vehicle. He was apprehended in June 2019 for skipping a court date associated with the citation, and it is claimed that he cursed and called the arresting police names that were racially offensive.

Who is Althea Heart?
American reality television star Althea Heart has a fortune of $100,000. The fact that Althea Heart was engaged to Benzino, a cast member from the first three seasons of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta,” is well known.
An on-again, off-again boyfriend of Karlie Redd, a prominent cast member who at the time was dating singer Yung Joc, Benzino was depicted on the show as an aspiring rapper.
There has been a lot of discussion and interest in Althea Heart. A fellow “LHHATL” cast member named Stevie J posted pictures of Althea Heart online when she was nude in various locales.
