The 57 years old rapper was born April 8, 1964, in Harlem, New York, United States. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a weight of 105kg. He graduated in 1982, from Longwood High School in middle highland, and started making a name for himself by going for shows and performing at different colleges, such as; Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania. He also went for shows in New York City nightclubs.

Biz Markie’s Music Career

Biz Markie net worth started growing when he released his debut album ‘Goin off’ in 1988. The responses to the single, ‘Make the Music with Your Mouth, Biz’ were amazing, and it was enough encouragement leading him to release another album on October 10, 1989 with the help of his cousins, Paul V and Cool V. The second album, ‘ The Biz Never Sleeps,’ had the popular single, ‘Just a Friend,’ which was his most successful single, and made #9 on the billboard charts. Biz Markie was on a roll and released a third album in 1991.

Unfortunately the sales for this one was low, and was affected further when Markie served a lawsuit from Gilbert O’Sullivan. O’Sullivan claimed the single, ‘Alone Again,’ from the album, featured an unauthorized sample from his own hit, ‘Alone Again (Naturally). The court ruling made Warner Bros. pull down the album and clear all samples with the creator. In 1993, Biz Markie responded with his fourth album, ‘All Samples Cleared.’ 

Biz Markie’s Acting Career

He made his first few television appearances in, In Living Color, The Dirty Dozens, Ed Bacon: Guidance Counselor and Macho man. From 1992-1999, he made guest appearances with a rap-rock group, ‘Beastie boys,’ in Check Your Head, III Communication, Hello Nasty, and The Sounds of Science. In 1996, he appeared on the Red Hot Organization; a compilation CD that was meant to raise AID awareness among African-American men. In 2013, he was a guest in SpongeBob SquarePants, and was the voice of Snorlock, in Adventure Time. In 2017, Biz Markie appeared in black-ish, and hosted a radio show in 2020 on LL Cool J’s Rock the Bells Radio every weekday.

In 2020, his fans started feeling sad when he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and had to go to a rehabilitation facility. He suffered from a stroke after coming out of a diabetic coma. On July 16, 2021, he died at Baltimore Hospital.
