How His Parents Met

When Alicia was launching her career in the entertainment industry and his parents first met, they were both teenagers.

Swizz Beatz reportedly failed to impress Alicia because he was too pompous and over the top. In 2002, Swizz Beatz started dating singer Mashonda Tifrere, with whom he later got married in 2004. In 2006, the couple had their son Kaseem Dean Jr. From his partnerships with Nichole Levy and Jahna Sebastian, Swizz also has two sons.

According to rumors, Swizz and Alicia started dating in 2008 when he was still married to Mashonda, which attracted a lot of negative media attention because it was implied that Alicia Keys was a homewrecker

Mashonda discussed Alicia in one of the interviews and stated: ‘My concern with [Alicia Keys] is no longer the fact that she assisted in destroying a family, but that she has the audacity to make these selfish comments about love and wanting to be with someone.

You have no idea how much pain I was caused because of this affair.’Alicia refuted the allegations, and Swizz Beatz said that he and his then-wife had been living apart for ten months prior to filing for divorce.

Following the conclusion of their divorce in 2010, Alicia and Swizz got hitched on July 31 of that same year. It’s interesting to note that in October 2010, Alicia gave birth to their first son, Egypt Daoud.
