Relationship Between Jasmine Guy And Tupac Shakur

The late Tupac Shakur and Jasmine Guy, the star of A Different World, had a much closer relationship than was ever publicly known. I’m not sure if there was ever a “entanglement” between them, but once ‘Pac was filmed at Quad Studios in New York in 1994, their friendship was undoubtedly put to the test. Jasmine Guy revealed some shocking things regarding her relationship with ‘Pac and his family in a previous interview that was broadcast on “The Art of Dialogue.”

‘Pac and she first met when he made a special appearance on A Different World. From that point forward, they “started hanging around.” After Tupac’s shooting in 1994, observe what quietly happened between them. At the hospital, Tupac’s mother “embraced” Guy. In the hospital following Tupac’s 1994 shooting, Jasmine first met Afeni Shakur and her sister. According to her, Afeni “embraced” her after which they grew close.

First of all, someone wanted Tupac killed; knowing that while walking around had a really negative impact on his soul, according to Jasmine Guy. Tupac was shot five times. Furthermore, he was surrounded by a lot of activity that I would describe as spiritual fortification. We tried our absolute hardest to simply give him back his life.

There was a lot of mistrust, according to Jasmine Guy. Anyone who was involved in his recovery had to hide out… thus no one could be aware of anything. He was certain that the individuals who shot him knew him and that it wasn’t a random mugging. And to top it all off, his biological father, whom he hadn’t seen since he was maybe 3 or 4, pays him a visit.

Since, well, these were highly emotional times, whenever I watched all of that while standing by the sidelines, my heart would always stop for a while before suddenly starting again. And although I wasn’t a member of the family, I was constantly present.

After being shot, Jasmine Guy assisted ‘Pac in slipping into hiding. Tupac reportedly did not want to stay in the hospital for long after being shot out of fear for his personal safety, according to Jasmine. She welcomed him into her home and opened her heart at that point.

“We concluded that Tupac didn’t want to stay in the hospital or at his girlfriend’s house,” says Jasmine Guy. In order to see whether I could look for Tupac while he recovered from his injuries, Tupac’s mom and aunt called me. He wasn’t comfortable sitting up in the hospital bed because he was recovering from five bullet wounds.

The public’s perception of Jasmine Guy’s friendship with Tupac didn’t concern her.  According to Jasmine Guy,  she has been  there for the family during their trauma was more important to her than anything else. Their family was quite close-knit. And she was really grateful that they let her join their small group and that she could make a difference in some way. Additionally, she was glad that Tupac was able to take a break and work on getting healthier. He had a lot to cope with on a business level, so the focus was more on mending and building him up.
