Thieriot, the son of Bridgit Ann (née Snyder) and George Cameron Thieriot, was born in Los Altos Hills, California. He has a younger brother and an elder sister. He was raised in the rural Californian community of Occidental in Sonoma County. After finishing middle school at the Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa, California, Thieriot transferred to El Molino High School in Forestville, California, where he eventually earned his diploma in 2006.
