1. Tianjin Grand Bridge, China
This railroad viaduct is a little more than 70 miles long. It transports the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway between Langfang and Qingxian. It’s the second of four rail bridges on our list. It took four years to build and was completed in 2010.

2. The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge, China
Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge is the longest bridge in the world. Between Shanghai and Nanjing, it stretches for 164.8 kilometers. It will be used to build a high-speed rail line that will run from Danyang to Kunshan over the Yangtze River delta.
After a four-year development process that cost approximately 8.5 billion dollars, it was formally opened in 2011. As of June 2011, it is the longest bridge in the world according to Guinness.
3. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway, United States
The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is the world’s longest continuous bridge over water, as well as the longest in the United States. The causeway, which spans Lake Pontchartrain in southern Louisiana, is made up of two parallel bridges. The longest of the two bridges stretches for over 24 kilometers.
In 1956, the first of two bridges were finished. The second was installed when the first became overburdened. It was completed in 1969 and opened to the public.
4. Bang Na Expressway, Thailand
In January of 2000, the overpass was finished. It has a length of 55 kilometers and a width of 27 meters. Jean Muller created the design (USA). Throughout the majority of its length, it does not pass across a large body of water. It just spans the Bang Pakong River and is accessible by road.

Wuhan Metro Line 1 isn’t a bridge in the classic sense. It is, in fact, the world’s longest continuous metro system viaduct. There are 32 stations along the line, which is over 24 miles long. It runs through Wuhan on an elevated light rail line. It first opened in 1995 and was renovated in 2003.
6. Manchac Swamp Bridge
In the US state of Louisiana, the Manchac Swamp Bridge is a twin concrete trestle bridge. It’s near Lake Pontchartrain, which is noted for its very long bridges, as you’ll see in a minute.
Despite the fact that the bridge is completely safe to drive on, legend has it that it is haunted by a Cajun werewolf known as a “Rougarou” and a voodoo princess. Regardless of the creepy stories, the only thing drivers should be wary of is getting too close to the alligators that live in the waters beneath the bridge.
7. Yangcun Bridge
It is one of China’s ten longest bridges, measuring 35.812 kilometers in length and ranking between 7th and 9th in length according to various sources. In 2007, the Yangcun Bridge was finished.
8. The Weinan Weihe Grand Bridge, China
Another Chinese railway bridge that makes it onto our list of the world’s longest viaducts is this one. It’s a section of the Zhengzhou-Xi’an High-Speed Railway. It stretches for just over 50 kilometers.
It’s unique in that it spans the Wei River twice, as well as the Ling, Luofu, Xi, and Shi Di rivers. For a brief period after its completion in 2008 and opening in 2010, it was the world’s longest bridge. Other bridges built at the same time quickly overshadowed it.
9. Changhua–Kaohsiung Viaduct, China
Presently, this is the world’s second-longest bridge. It transports passengers as part of Taiwan’s high-speed rail system. From Changhua’s Banguashan to Kaohsiung’s Zuoying, the bridge stretches over 98 kilometers. In 2007, it was finished.
10. Runyang Yangtze River Bridge
In Jiangsu Province, China, this is a massive bridge complex that spans the Yangtze River. The complex is made up of two main bridges that connect Yangzhou on the river’s north bank with Zhenjiang on the river’s south bank.
The Yangzhou–Liyang Expressway passes via this bridge. The construction of the bridge complex began in October 2000 and was finished on time. The bridge cost approximately $700 million to build.
11. Beijing Grand Bridge, China
This 48.15-kilometer-long bridge connects Beijing with Shanghai and is located in Beijing. It is used to transport high-speed trains. It was finished in 2010 and officially inaugurated in 2011.

12. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Skyway
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Skyway, commonly known as the Jakarta–Cikampek Elevated Toll Road, is a 36.4-kilometer-long elevated expressway in West Java, Indonesia, that runs from Cikunir, Bekasi, to Karawang.
The line operators are PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek, a subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga Tbk with a small shareholder in PT Ranggi Sugiron Perkasa. It covers some of the ancient Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road. It is now Indonesia’s and Southeast Asia’s longest elevated double-deck expressway.
