The first stanza of the Lebanese National Anthem and the Lebanese Forces Cross are both inked on Khalifa. After a bombing in Lebanon in 2012, she received the latter, claiming it was to “express support with [her] father’s political convictions.” Her critics have raised questions about both tattoos.

The two women eventually got to meet up, and as they smiled and laughed while holding up Mariella’s Birkin bag, they posed for photographs.
