Mike McDaniel is an American football coach and the head coach of the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League was born on March 6, 1983. Mike McDaniel began his NFL coaching career as an intern for the Denver Broncos in 2005, and he was a long-time assistant to Mike and Kyle Shanahan.

Coaching Career
Mike McDaniel was hired by his hometown Denver Broncos as a coaching intern under head coach Mike Shanahan in 2005 when he was 22 years old. The Broncos concluded 2005 with a 13-3 record, which was their best since John Elway’s retirement six years prior. In the postseason, they upset the defending back-to-back Super Bowl champion New England Patriots 27-13 in the Divisional Round before losing 17-34 in the AFC Championship Game to the eventual Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
In 2006, Mike McDaniel joined the Houston Texans as an offensive assistant under head coach Gary Kubiak, with whom he had previously worked at the Denver Broncos. The Miami Dolphins are an American football team headquartered in Miami.
