Early Life
Pauline Ruth and Charles Glen Judd welcomed Naomi Judd into the world on January 11, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky. The gas station owner was her father. Her first child, Christina Claire Ciminella, later known as Wynonna Judd, was born when Naomi Judd was 18 years old. Her brother Brian passed away from leukemia in 1965 at the age of 17. Her first child was given the last name Ciminella in honor of Wynonna’s biological father, Charles Jordan, and Judd’s brief marriage to Michael Ciminella when she was dumped by her fiancé.
