Who is NBA YoungBoy?
Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, better known by his stage name NBA YoungBoy, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on October 20, 1999. Gaulden broke his neck as a toddler, necessitating the use of a temporary head brace. His forehead was scarred by the brace in three places.
His father was condemned to 55 years in prison shortly after Gaulden was born. His maternal grandmother took him in and nurtured him. Gaulden stayed in school until ninth grade when he quit pursuing his music career.
Gaulden was known by his aliases NBA YoungBoy or YoungBoy Never Broke Again when he first entered the music scene, but it’s unclear what prompted his name change. YoungBoy was caught for robbery and committed to a prison camp in Tallulah, Louisiana while working on his music career.
He began composing lyrics in Tallulah. Because his grandma had passed away, NBA YoungBoy moved in with his pal 3Three after his release. To pay for studio time, they became involved in criminal activity. YoungBoy then went out of his way to pursue music as a career.
YoungBoy was arrested on allegations of violence, firearms offenses, and kidnapping before a show at The Moon nightclub in Tallahassee in February 2018. When it comes to NBA YoungBoy’s love life, it’s been said that he has seven children from six different women. Kayden, Kacey, Kamiri, and Taylin are a few of his children. NBA YoungBoy is expecting his eighth child, according to reports from April 2021.
The grandma of Kamiri is Sherhonda Gaulden. She is a well-known stand-up comedian and rapper who is most known as the mother of YoungBoy Never Broke Again, a well-known rapper. She’s also a social media sensation. Sherhonda now has 93,000 Instagram followers. She grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On October 9th, 1974, she was born.

NBA YoungBoy had a bump in his personal life when he was jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder in Austin, Texas, just as his music career was taking off. YoungBoy released several hit songs while incarcerated, including Win or Lose, Don’t Matter, and Too Much. YoungBoy became a household name after his video, Win or Lose, became a viral hit.

Gaulden has regularly engaged in criminal behavior both before and during his professional career. In November 2016, he was detained in Austin, Texas, for one of his charges when he jumped out of a car and started shooting at a group of people.
Based on two counts of attempted first-degree murder, he was accordingly imprisoned. Gaulden was given a 10-year jail term and three years of active probation, with the first year of the sentence being suspended after pleading guilty to a lesser crime of aggravated assault with a firearm.
He was later detained in early 2018 for allegedly committing assault, kidnapping, and firearms offenses; however, he was soon released on bond.
Gaulden retaliated after being shot at by a suspect driving a black Cadillac Escalade in 2019 while on probation. Although the shooting-related charges were dropped, it was determined that Gaulden had broken his probation by hanging out with Ben Fields and Trulondrick Norman. He was thus given a 90-day jail term and a 14-month performance ban while under home arrest.
Gaulden faced more accusations in September 2020 when he was one of 16 persons detained in Baton Rouge for offenses like producing and selling drugs and having stolen weapons. The following year, when federal officials attempted to halt Gaulden’s car, he fled on foot to evade arrest on a warrant.
Eight children have been born to Gaulden; Kacey and Kayden, two of his boys, had an appearance in the music video for the song “Kacey Talk.”
