Quavious Keyate Marshall was born in Athens, Georgia. His father died while Quavo was only 4 years old, and his mother Edna was a hairdresser. He grew up in Gwinnett County alongside his future Migos bandmates Kiari Cephus (also known as Offset) and Kirshnik Ball (also known as Takeoff); he is also Takeoff’s uncle and the cousin of Offset.
