Eilleen Regina Edwards, also known as Shania Twain, was born on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario. When she was two years old, her parents, Sharon and Clarence Edwards, split, and her mother relocated her and her three daughters to Timmins, Ontario. Jerry Twain, who Sharon married, formally adopted the girls and gave them his last name.
