Tony Little was born on September 16, 1956. After his father left them, his mother raised him in Fremont, Ohio. He’s been bodybuilding since he was a teenager, but because he had a knee injury while playing football in high school, he couldn’t join the gym class.

However, he went to the principal and dropped a complaint about how his lack of participation was making him uncomfortable. Later on, he gained permission to resume the gym class, where he continued with his passion. From there, he entered a contest and won. 

After sponsorships from external parties, he entered a second contest and still emerged as the winner. With this success, he became Mr. Florida.

Little has been a tаrgеt and source of parody and has appeared on television several times. He debuted in 1997, making fun of his image, and also appeared in the film Frеznо Smооth as a cameraman. During this time, he was a two-time Mr. Florida and Mr. Junior America bodybuilding champion. 

He had two ruptured discs, a broken vertebra, and a dislocated knee after a catastrophic incident in 1983. Tony designed a home exercise program while recovering, which eventually became a book called “One on One with Tony Little: The Complete 28-Day Body Sculpting and Weight Loss Program.” The book was fairly successful, selling thousands of copies. 

More importantly, Tony was motivated by the book to turn his workout into a VHS fitness tape. Tony has sold over 50 million copies of his VHS tapes to date, producing over $4 billion in revenue, thanks to his infomercials that air 365 days a year across the world.

He was featured in a GEICO commercial in 2005. At first, the commercial looked like another one of his training. However, it became a commercial for car insurance. He was in an episode of G4V’s popular video game How to Lay in October 2006, and the producers dubbed it “The Tony Little Episode.” They featured Little in a sketch that appeared on his infomercials.

The car accident left him with a cracked vertebra, a knee dislocation, and two herniated discs. However, little recovered enough to compete, finishing fifth place in the middleweight competition.

Tony Little married Melissa Hall, a fitness model, in 2009. On November 23, 2009, they welcomed their twin sons, Cody and Chase, in Tampa.

Tara, Little’s daughter, and Trent, Little’s son, are the result of a previous relationship. Little also identifies himself as a passionate collector of antiques, rare livestock, and historic automobiles.
