Baltimore, Maryland, is where Anna Kay Faris was born. Her mother, Karen, was a special education teacher, while her father, Jack, taught sociology. Her parents were both from Seattle, Washington, but due to her father’s position as a professor at Towson University, they were residing in Baltimore. When she was six years old, the family moved back to Washington, settling in Edmonds, where her mother taught at Seaview Elementary School and her father worked at the University of Washington.
