We’re not talking about Albert Kish, but rather his son, who, oddly, has the same name. Fans of the highly acclaimed crime thriller series Longmire may recognize Bert Kish Longmire, who made his film debut on the A&E network on June 13, 2012.
We have their great works as a souvenir, even though we did not experience the longevity of father and son. The father, Albert Kish, was a phenomenal filmmaker. He was in charge of directing award-winning films.

Who is Bert Kish?
Bert Kish was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on September 15, 1965, and is a seasoned and smart personality. He passes away from cancer at the age of 52. He is also the son of Albert Kish, a multi-talented figure. Albert kish, the generation’s Steven Spielberg, came to Canada in 1957 with a copy of “Film Kultura” in his armpit.
He came to make films and to make money. On October 23, 2015, Senior Kish passed away from cancer. His father started out as a still photographer before relocating to Toronto to work as a film editor at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and then to Montreal to work for the National Film Board of Canada. Albert began his career as a still photographer, but he desired more, and after moving to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto to work as a video editor, his interest in filmmaking sparked quickly.
He was promoted to the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal as a result of his outstanding performance. After that, they say, history repeats itself. He studied filmmaking for four months in California, and boy, did he learn a lot.

In 1967, he began a long and illustrious career at the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal, where he directed and edited more than 30 films.
He obtained a senior arts fellowship from the Canada Council for the Arts in 1973 and spent four months in Budapest, Hungary, at the Academy of Drama and Film, and another four months in Hollywood, California.
His passion for photography has lasted his entire life. His images have been featured in a number of publications and shows. The Stephen Bulger Gallery includes a collection of his images. He traveled extensively in China, Korea, and Europe after his retirement from the NFB in 1997.
At the Toronto General Hospital, he died of cancer in October 2015. He had been married to Katalin Futo for 21 years. From a previous marriage, he has two sons, Bert and Colin, and two grandchildren, Aris and Ryan.
