As one may expect from a conservative TV host, Tucker’s entire belief system differs from others. In September 2019, Tucker revealed in one of his segments that he never allows his girls to date feminists because he believes feminists are nothing more than creeps.
Tucker is a feminist opposer. He lamented the declining labor participation rate of American men in a December 2021 episode, saying, “Men and women are very different, extremely different. Society is built on their differences.” Feminists, he claims, want girls to benefit at the expense of boys. The US military chastised him in March 2021 after he mocked maternity flying suits for female US soldiers and called the Chinese military’s decision to build ships “more masculine.” In comments on the radio show Bubba the Love Sponge from 2006 to 2011, he used the slurs pig and cunt to disparage various women.
He called Democratic primary candidates cowards for not vowing to legalize same-sex marriage in the same year and declared that he would support it. Tucker Carlson In Politics
Tucker is a member of the Republican Party. From 2006 through 2020, he was registered as a Democrat in Washington, D.C. Tucker Carlson said in 2017 that he registered as a Democrat to vote in the district’s mayoral primaries, but that he “sincerely despises” the Democratic party and “always vote[d] for the more corrupt candidate over the idealist” to preserve the status quo and stifle liberalism. During his time as a Democrat, Carlson advocated for Republicans and Republican-affiliated issues.
Tucker agreed with Smith’s low view of Donald Trump, who was running for president with the Reform Party at the time, in a public exchange with Texas Monthly’s Evan Smith in Slate on November 29, 1999. According to Carlson, Trump was “the single most repulsive person on the planet,” while the Reform Party is “a bunch of wackos.” He also chastised Pat Buchanan, the party’s eventual nominee. Tucker Carlson claimed in his 2018 book Ship of Fools that he had taken on board some of Buchanan’s thoughts.
In the 2000 election, Tucker supported George W. Bush. Some Washington conservatives suspected Carlson of being “secretly liberal” since he supported John McCain, according to a 2003 interview with Salon. “By my criteria, Bush isn’t much of a conservative,” Tucker remarked in an interview in 2004, after writing a piece in Esquire accusing Bush of weakness during the September 11 attacks and in the invasion of Iraq.
