Early Life

In March 1971, Randall Emmett was born in Miami, Florida. Before making the move to Los Angeles in the middle of the 1990s, he attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. He quickly secured an apprenticeship with producer Jerry Bruckheimer in Los Angeles. Then he made his way over to International Creative Management, a talent agency. He met Mark Wahlberg through ICM, who later asked “Randy” (as he is also called) to serve as his personal assistant.

Randy is rumored to have served as at least a small portion of the inspiration for the character “Turtle” on the Wahlberg-produced television series “Entourage.”

Career

After working with renowned talent agency International Creative Management and beginning his career as an intern for producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Randall Emmett’s true break into the business came when he was hired as actor Mark Wahlberg’s assistant. Fun fact: Due to this association, it is believed that the Florida native served as the model for Turtle in the Entourage film that Mark Wahlberg directed.

In nations outside of the United States with generous tax incentives, Oasis Films makes movies on a shoestring budget. Later, the film is mainly sold abroad as well as in the United States via on-demand streaming platforms. The major aspect of this lucrative strategy is that the movies typically include aging action stars who accept a huge salary for a small amount of screentime, such as luminaries like Bruce Willis, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Steven Seagal, or Sylvester Stallone.

Additionally, he executive produced 50 Cent’s Starz drama Power from 2014 until 2020, when the series came to an end, and he produced a number of hugely successful blockbuster movies, such as Silence and The Irishman.

Randall Emmett Stars in a Reality Show

In February 2020, during season 8, the director and his longtime girlfriend debuted on Vanderpump Rules. Particularly after he and Lala welcomed their first child, daughter Ocean, in March 2021, Randall has established himself as a frequent character on the Bravo series.

Us Weekly reported that the couple had broken up by December 2021 when cheating suspicions about Randall started to surface. During the Pump Rules season 9 reunion show in January 2022, Lala described how she “put two and two together” regarding his “other life.”

Randall Emmett Is a Poker Pro

Since 2012, the director has been playing poker. Randall Emmett took first place in a number of tournaments, including two $10,000 high roller tournaments at the Aria Resort and Casino.

Randall Emmett has been frequently on TV throughout his poker career on PokerGO programs including Poker After Dark and Friday Night Poker. As of February 2021, he had more than $590,000 in live tournament earnings.

Lala Kent and Randall Emmett‘s Relationship

The pair first came into contact in December 2015. In 2018, Kent spoke to Cosmopolitan about meeting Emmett and said,“He came in for a Christmas dinner and sent his assistant up to me and asked me if he could get my manager’s contact info because he wanted me in a film.”  “And so then we started that whole process, I booked the film, and then we just had this instant connection. It was my first season of [Vanderpump Rules]. I think only like, three episodes had aired of Season 4.”

Throughout multiple Vanderpump Rules seasons, Kent referred to Emmett as “my man.” Early in 2018, the couple made their romance public.

“2017 … You were tough. You were amazing. You made me cry. You made me smile. & sometimes you really sucked. But look where You brought me- Just as a human being,” Kent wrote in the Instagram caption of a picture he shared with Emmett in January 2018. “I want everyone to remember to shake things off. Go with your heart, go with your gut. Trust your mind. People can say things. People can write things … but no one in the entire world knows your truth. Only you do. Never forget that.”

On the sand in September 2018, Emmett proposed. When she first told Us about him, she exclaimed, “I can’t stop calling him my fiancé.” “My face hurts from smiling! I just can’t believe I get to have this man forever. I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

The couple fueled divorce rumors after Kent removed all of her Emmett Instagram photos in April 2019 following a public spat with 50 Cent. They are still dating and intend to get married in April 2020, Us later confirmed.

Emmett had a role in Vanderpump Rules season 8, which was recorded in the summer of 2019, after declining to appear on the popular Bravo series for a number of years.

“She had to do a lot of begging,” Randall Emmett told Us in November 2019. “Here’s the thing, for three seasons she asked politely slash begged, and then we got to a point where we decided, she said, ‘Look please, it’ll be a nice thing to show who we really are.’ And … Lala gets her way. There you go.”

The coronavirus outbreak led Kent and Randall Emmett to postpone their April 18, 2020 wedding. “Today would be the day I’d be heading to our wedding location to start prepping and getting settled in with my mama and mama-in-law-to-be. I know people have been affected by this in much bigger ways. I do feel sad today, though,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I haven’t experienced anything that I should have. Bachelorette party, bridal shower. It’s just all very weird.”

The couple had planned to take vows in 2020, but Emmett told Us in August that they changed the date to July 2021. “It was this weird thing because it was April, obviously, and then we pushed it to September or October, and we thought that life would be somewhat back to normal [by then]. That obviously wasn’t true,” he told Us. “So she called me up one day, and she was like, ‘Babe, we have to move this wedding.’ And I was like, ‘No, we’re not moving. We’ll have it with five people.’ And she’s like, ‘No, you don’t want that version of this wedding. So we need to do the right thing.’”

The couple has been honest about how the quarantine has affected their relationship. “Randall and I have almost broken up about a dozen times, so, you know, this is definitely a test for people’s relationships, but it’s so crazy because, you know, you sit there and you start bickering about little things and you start overanalyzing everything, and, like, we really have just like elevated our relationship in such an amazing way,” Kent admitted in May 2020. “I know we’re always gonna argue and of course, we were never really going to end the relationship, but, you know, you’re stuck with someone. We’re in such a great place I didn’t even think we could get any better.”

After two months, the Utah native once more deleted Emmett from her Instagram page. Later, she said that she was just upset with him because he didn’t help her carry in the groceries, and she also disclosed that the two have been blocked from one other’s social media accounts since they started dating.

“It won’t be the last time I archive pictures of Rand when he makes me mad,” she explained. “I’m petty AF. It will happen again and again until I grow out of it & it’s the most petty thing I do, I’m OK with it.”

They announced Kent is pregnant not long after Emmett told us the couple was growing serious about starting a family. “I am so excited. I feel very maternal and motherly,” she said on their podcast, “Give Them Lala … With Randall” in September 2020. “I cry about everything. I look at the refrigerator and it could be empty or full and I’m, like, is [it] happy or sad, I don’t know.”

In March, Kent posted the first image of their infant daughter, Ocean, on Instagram. Kent confessed to Us that she feels rushed to have another child in May 2021.

“Randall Emmett says, ‘You’re so young.’ And I’m like, ‘You’re not,’” the Utah native joked at the time. “It doesn’t have to be right away because I am just so in love, and I want to enjoy [my daughter], for as long as possible. … I definitely want to have another baby.”

Randall Emmett, on the other hand, acknowledged to Us that he wasn’t in a rush just now. Exclusively provided to Us in July 2021, the director stated, “She keeps talking about another baby.” “So I’m like, ‘Slow down”

For the native Floridian, having fun right then and there was what mattered most. “Now that the baby’s out and thriving, we have had some really good date nights and have found a way to have our [time] where everybody is out of the way,” he added. “We’re thriving.”

On November 3, the Us declared that Kent and Emmett had broken up. During that time, a source told Us: “Randall did not want to split but it was Lala’s decision.” “The trust is gone. He’s been trying to win her back.”

In December, Kent published a piece about narcissists that appeared to mention her ex-fiance as having these traits.

“Narcissists live a double life. They show fake charm and friendliness in public but are snake-life, venomous and devious behind closed doors,” the passage, originally posted by narcissist abuse recovery professional Danish Bashir, read. “They are master manipulators who destroy lives. Most importantly, they don’t have an identity and that explains everything.”

The statement continued: “They morph into a reflection of you to receive fuel, meaning they do not really exist as true personalities like we do, so if someone has no identity, how can that person be trusted to begin with?” Kent added a mind-blown emoji.

Dan Bilzerian Lawsuit and 50 Cent Feud

Social media personality Dan Bilzerian filed a lawsuit against EFO in 2013 alleging that the production company broke the terms of a deal in which he would get $1 million in investment in exchange for 8 minutes of screen time in the film “Lone Survivor.” Dan has appeared in further EFO movies, thus the suit was abandoned and tensions were reduced.

The musician 50 Cent engaged in a contentious social media debate with Randall and Lala in April 2019. After hearing Lala boast on television that Randall had given her a Range Rover, 50 started writing irate remarks on Lala’s Instagram account. According to rumors, 50 is angry with Randall because he allegedly owes him $1 million in relation to their TV show Power. The conflict was ultimately resolved in private.

Financial Problems

Randall Emmett submitted a petition to the court in the middle of 2021 asking for a reduction in the amount of child support he was required to pay to his ex-wife Ambyr Childers.

In the court documents, Randall requested the court to overturn a ruling that would come into force in January 2021 and requires him to retain $50,000 to pay for his child’s extracurricular activities. He continued by stating that he required the relief because he owed the IRS somewhere in the vicinity of $500,000 and needed it.

Randall Emmett declared on the paperwork that he would be paying the Internal Revenue Service $15,000 monthly and American Express $10,000 monthly as part of a structured payment plan. In a filing, his counsel alleged the following: “If Randall is compelled to keep making these payments, he will inevitably rack up more and more debt until he is in a position where he has no choice but to declare bankruptcy.”

Randall explained more, only speaking for himself: “Because I only produced one movie in 2020, as opposed to numerous in normal years, my revenue has significantly decreased, and as a result, I am having trouble keeping up with my financial obligations.”

Real Estate

Randall Emmett spent $3.925 million in November 2017 for a residence in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air district. In May 2022, he put this house on the market for $6.295 million. Star of “Flipping Out” Jeff Lewis had previously bought and renovated the house.
